Saviez-vous qu'il y a 220 millions de francophones dans le monde, mais seulement 72 millions d’habitants en France. La majorité des francophones habitent en fait en Afrique, dont une partie a été colonisée par la France du XIXème au XXème siècle.

Le Congo

La République démocratique du Congo (RDC) - ou Congo-Kinshasa - est située en Afrique centrale et a une population de 81,34 millions d'habitants. Le Français, outre quatre langues nationales: le Lingala, le Swahili, le Kikongo et le Tshiluba, est la langue officielle du pays. En plus, tous les Congolais parlent au moins une des 250 langues ethniques présentes au Congo.

Kinshasa, Congo

Kinshasa, capitale de la République démocratique du Congo, est la troisième plus grande agglomération d'Afrique après le Caire, Egypte et Lagos, Nigeria. En 2016, la population de Kinshasa a surpassé celle de Paris pour devenir la plus grande mégapole francophone! À ce jour, le Congo-Kinshasa est considéré comme le premier pays francophone au monde, avant la France.
